The Importance of Dust (Collection) in CTE Classrooms

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Dust collection equipment exists in many CTE classrooms and is assumed to be adequate for the job. In fact, many CTE classrooms have either substandard Dust Collection capability or in some cases may be non-existent. Inadequate or absent dust collection creates a hazard to both Students and Teachers exposed to dust particles, many too small to be seen by the naked eye. This presentation will discuss the essentials of dust collection beginning by demystifying the technical language used by industry experts, explaining what the danger of exposure may be, and progressing to simple best practices that will enhance the air quality in the classroom.
