Belonging to a CTSO provides benefits to students and teachers. Beyond curriculum development, and developed competitive events, students have the ability to get hands-on experience in the fields in which they may be interested in. They learn and practice "soft skills", and are better prepared to enter the workforce or higher education. Membership in a CTSO isn't just about belonging to a middle or high school "club" but about broadening their horizons, and getting a chance to see what else is out there, beyond their local community and school. Washington TSA focuses on many of the technology-based careers available today.
